The Physical, Chemical and Emotional Components of Wellness and Performance.

Step one is to master the basics of this simple wellness sequence. The BIG difference is learning to control ALL three components. Ive found NLP works great. Diet is important. Certain types of body work can be highly effective. However they ALL work better when you have control of each component. Its the synergy of all three that generally provides the missing link. This is the key. Individuals tend to be focused primarily on just one area when the secret is in the synergy of all three components. The synergy is also easy to find and master with some training. Then its just practice practice practice while you refine your happiness, wellness and performance skills.

NLP changes you at the neurochemical level….. so does diet and body work and exercise. This is why this wellness sequence is so effective. It make changes at the neurochemical level through understanding and controlling the physical chemical and emotional components of wellness.

Making great decisions and feeling great is easier when you know how to get the right chemistry in your body in the first place. ie food.

Put the right food into your system. Learn to run your brain. Make better decisions. Learn strength and function through functional fitness like crossfit. Good training produces endorphins. Your gut is also called your second brain. The neurons found in the brain are also found lining the gut.

You’ve probably heard of “gut instinct”, “gut reaction”, “my stomach was churning”, “I had butterflys in my stomach”.

The health of your gut and digestion are essential parts of wellness and feeling good and feeling happy.

We want to get you standing up straighter and into a neutral position where possible, so gravity isnt combining with poor posture to increase the stress on your body. We now have methods to improve your structure, posture, core strength and balance. Its also a great way to get your back into shape and reduce back pain.

When you think of someone who is happy and confident how is their posture ? What about someone who is unhappy. How is their posture different ?

Posture Matters so get to work improving it.

Does diet really matter ? In my opinion it matters a tremendous amount.

The food and water you put into your body does make an important difference. The key here is digestion. The right food for you and good digestion are so important to the way you think feel and function.

Paleo Diet and Exercise : I predominantly use the Paleo Diet and Crossfit exercise. The other thing I do for clients is rip out all grains and ensure they are zero gluten. This gets brilliant change in my experience. Its also something you can control yourself 100% and you don’t need many if any extra supplements.

40% lean meat eggs, 40% veg excluding potatoes and 20% fruit. Drink 1.5 to 2 L of water a day. That is it. Quite simple.

This helps with weight loss, clear thinking, strength, fitness and range of motion. Its also one of the most powerful ways Ive ever seen for getting rid of chronic back ache.

Solutions for running your own brain. The art and science of being happy. There are only a few things you need to learn to run your own brain. Remember in grade 3 in primary school they taught you that you have 5 senses. It would have been helpful if they had then taught you how to run them. Vision, hearing, touch, smell and taste are things you can influence.

How do you turn your senses up or down to suit yourself ? Can you learn to do this ? Yes you can.

You can remove junk programmes that keep you doing the same behaviours over and over again and begin to do the groundwork for learning and developing new behaviours, new feelings and new emotions. Remove the junk behaviours and feelings and replace them with better ones. Its that simple and you can learn it with some simple training.

You are your own chemist. When you feel happy you make chemical changes inside your body. The happy chemistry operates. You make the chemistry inside your own body. When you are in love your body fills up with different chemicals. You can learn to make better chemistry inside your own body with a little training. Learn to be your own chemist.

A great tip I was given… “practice feeling good for no reason”. The fun police wont arrest you as far as I know. Yes, you have permission to feel good. Practice it and you are likely to get used to it.

Be your own chemist. How you think effects how you feel and releases chemicals into your body. Produce more ‘feel good chemistry’ inside your body. The more you practice the better you get at it.

Some people call it “background happiness”.

What about feeling exquisitely happy in the privacy of your own mind. With practice and training you can refine this and its another great habit. Practice feeling good.

Clean your brain out, just like you clean our your hard drive on your computer. Lots of junk gets in the way at times and doesnt help you to function at your best. This increases stress. Have a good spring clean and learn how to use your own built in clean up wizard. Just like cleaning out your cupboard or old clothes. You can clean out old ideas or old thinking that isnt helping.

Zen, inner peace, calming yourself, goals, drive, motivation, direction, focus, love, happiness, fun, laughing. These are things you can learn to do yourself.

Mastering these basics is the best place to start.
